ABS is a terpolymer that perfectly combines the advantages of three distinct components:
Impact and Puncture Resistance: Butadiene provides excellent toughness, effectively absorbing the impact force from falling objects or collisions, and preventing penetration by sharp objects.
High Rigidity and Deformation Resistance: Acrylonitrile ensures material hardness and dimensional stability, preventing deformation under pressure.
Excellent Electrical Insulation: Non-conductive, making it suitable for work environments involving power generation and electrical operations.
Chemical Corrosion Resistance: Exhibits good tolerance to acids, alkalis, and oil stains, making it suitable for use in chemical plants and oil fields.
Excellent Processability: Features a smooth surface and is easy to color; commonly available in red, yellow, blue, white, and other colors.
II. Key Protective Functions
Impact Protection
The helmet shell features a hemispherical or elliptical shape designed to disperse impact forces; a buffer gap is maintained between the shell and the suspension liner to prevent direct impact to the crown of the head.
Puncture Protection
The high-strength material is capable of withstanding penetration by sharp objects such as iron nails and steel rebar.
Electrical Insulation Protection
Standard ABS safety helmets can withstand high AC voltages ranging from 1.2 kV to 3 kV, making them suitable for low-voltage live-line work.
Lateral Rigidity
Resists deformation when subjected to lateral compression, thereby maintaining adequate protective clearance around the head.
